Kricket

Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 July 2026

1. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of Kricket (“the App”), operated by [Company Legal Name](“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Definitions

  • “App” means Kricket.
  • “Club” means a cricket club registered on Play-Cricket that you connect within the App.
  • “Play-Cricket” means the third-party cricket scoring and fixtures platform operated by the ECB, which the App reads data from.
  • “Content” means any video, audio or other material you record, stream or publish using the App.
  • “You”/“your” means the person using the App.

3. The Service

The App lets you:

  • View fixtures, results and league tables for any Club you connect.
  • Live-stream matches to your connected YouTube channel, with a real-time score overlay.
  • Record matches on-device when you're not streaming live.
  • View your on-device recordings and previously published YouTube videos in one library.
  • Connect and switch between more than one Club from a single account.

Kricket is a technology tool that connects to Play-Cricket and YouTube. We don't organize matches, employ scorers, or control the people or clubs you film.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

5. Third-Party Platforms

The App relies on third-party platforms we don't control:

  • Play-Cricket— we display fixture, result and table data as provided by Play-Cricket. We're not responsible for the accuracy or availability of that data.
  • YouTube— streaming and publishing Content requires your own YouTube/Google account and is subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We aren't responsible for how YouTube handles, moderates or makes available Content you publish there.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Only record or stream matches you have the right to film, and respect any filming policies your Club has in place.
  • Be considerate of the privacy of players, officials and spectators who may appear in your Content.
  • Don't use the App for any unlawful, abusive or infringing purpose.

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the Content you record or stream. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process and transmit that Content solely as needed to provide the service — for example, to generate the score overlay and relay your stream to YouTube.

8. Our Intellectual Property

The Kricket app, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by [Company Legal Name]or our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what's needed to use the App as intended.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee that Play-Cricket data will always be accurate or up to date, or that YouTube streaming will be uninterrupted, and we're not liable for outages or errors in those third-party platforms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Company Legal Name] is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the App, including loss of Content held by a third-party platform such as YouTube.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the Profile tab.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction], and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
